AFRICA ON FIRE

tears in my eyes clouding
the spirits are tired of guiding
motivation is packing its load
peace is gradually sleeping
love is sitting upon the mountains
brotherhood lies in the bush wailing
the knives are ragingly coming
war is gradually closing
the hand that writes is shaking
peace fighters are drowning
smiling is running away from us
the mouth that speaks is closed
it was whites against blacks before
now it is blacks against blacks
the prophecy of Doom is fulfilling
the fire of death is spreading
Africa's foundation is drying up
