I AM FIGHTING A BATTLE 

I am in the middle of a war

A war I can't tell Mama I want to quit

A fight against the invisibles

A war that is crushing the crushables

I am in the middle of a battle

A battle I can't tell Papa I want to tumble

Only the fittest of the fittests can survive

A fight without the guns or the knives

I am in the midst of grenades

That can blow up tonight or coming day

Who will save me from this battle?

A battle I don't know when it will keel over
