Redemption From Silence
Redemption From Silence
I was once a prisoner in my hometown;
I was seeing the riches I could have owned;
But those chains won't allow me move closer;
Those bonds ate me up too deep;
Poetry came as my timely saviour;
When I was about to be sentenced for execution;
When I was just minutes to the grave of total silence;
His brilliance as a qualified lawyer advocated for my case;
My heart popped hope! Hopefully I will be free;
The court session lasted for minutes, and my bail was settled;
Redemption came at last and my chains dropped;
This freedom isn't free tho, I pay everyday by writing;
