Kemistree Bakare is a performance poet, life coach and an advocate for women rights.

Her poem "Mute The Songs of Excuses " was published in the Black Communion Poetry Anthology 2013. She is a multi-slam champion, including winning the Eko poetry slam in 2014 and the Abuja Literary slam in 2015. 

She has graced various stages, including the Lagos Black Heritage Festival 2014, Word up, Coterie, Wole soyinka @80 poetry tour 2014 in Nigeria. 




She is the first guest poet in Nigeria to perform for the 3rd Annual Celebration of the Unseen Awards alongside Former Lagos state Governor, S.A.N Babatunde Raji Fashola.

Kemi was awarded the most eloquent female student in Olabisi Onabanjo university 2017 the (Student Union Awards) 




She bagged the award for the best spoken poet in Nigeria in 2017, Spoken word art and poetry award (SWAAP), In 2020 during lockdown, she birthed the idea of IRONING THE ROUGH SHEETS that tends to limit us as young individuals.


Kemistree and 78thpsalmist just released a video titled "DON'T" A poem that speaks against Rape and misogyny in July 2020 which saw over 3million viewers via NTAi and over 400 views on Youtube and Instagram.
